The 10 year long wait for Prey is finally over and a sequel to Human Head's sci-fi shooter Prey is on the way by the look of it.
The Sequel is announced in-game
When finishing the last level of Prey, a message tells us that "Prey will continue" leaving little room for doubt that a follow-up to the Doom 3-engine powered shooter is planned.
The Prey release
The release of Prey marks the end of one of the longest running sagas in gaming history. Prey was first announced by 3D Realms way back in 1997 before quietly canning it shortly afterwards. However, even a ten year old wait for Prey's can't match 3D Realms' ongoing Duke Nukem Forever shenanigans - also announced in 1997 the biggest victim of engine-switching seen to this date. |
