Here we have gathered a bunch of comparison shots where Crytek's Crysis is compared to real world photographs, it's pretty impressive.
A breakthrough in nature rendering
Games used to shy away from complex scenarios, like jungles for example. CryTek broke this trend when they showed off their rendering technique in Far Cry, with dense tropical vegetation, huge vistas and bright colors it took us on a virtual vacation in a tropical paradise. Today, with a few years of improvement on the rendering technology and faster PCs as target, they have a new paradise adventure coming up, Crysis, even more life like, with wetter water, greener forests and fluffier clouds than its predecessor.
Technology to push game graphics towards reality
There are a lot of graphics and engine features that work together to bring the tropics in Crysis to life, see our Crysis technology summary for more information and pictures of the features.
