How do I access the Quake 4 console?

To access the console press CTRL + ALT + ~ (tilde, the key below ESC)

To avoid having to press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [~] you can add a command line shortcut to Quake 4 like this:

Example: "C:\my games\Quake4\quake4.exe" +set com_allowConsole 1

Or you can add the line "set com_allowConsole 1" to your autoexec.cfg file. Read in our FAQ on What is a config file?

note:
CTRL + ALT + ~ for US Keyboards
CTRL + ALT + ' for UK Keyboards
